These dogs are raised on an acreage, but not used as livestock working dogs. Raised in a family environment. Family and Property guardian. They are outside from dawn to dusk. Inside overnight.
These will be large dogs, ranging from 80 to 150 pounds.
These dogs are not for first time dogs owners.
They are dominant and independent and will require an experienced person that is willing to socialize them with other animals and be consistent in training. The result is an amazing loyal and protective partner.
The Anatolian is loyal, quiet, watchful and protective of his family, including other pets. He is suspicious of strangers and can be aggressive toward dogs he doesn’t know. Anatolian's have a deep/loud bark and will address anything or anyone that appears to be suspect, and will act to protect their people and property.
